Elizabeth (Betty) Brimeyer became interested in mental health because of her passion for helping others find happiness and contentment in life. She has a natural ability to help patients feel comfortable, and people find her easy to talk to. Encouraged by friends and coworkers to pursue a career in mental health, Betty is grateful she did. To her, going to “work” doesn’t really feel like a job. She finds her role incredibly rewarding, especially when she can help her patients feel better and see them smile again.

Betty lives on a farm in the Dubuque County area with her husband. She has four children and seven grandchildren, whom she adores. Spending time with family and friends is at the top of her list, but she also enjoys traveling, the ocean, side-by-side rides, walking, music and theater.

She loves being outdoors and finds peace in its beauty. Betty also enjoys trying to grow beautiful flowers around her yard—even though she admits having a green thumb doesn’t come naturally!
