DESCRIPTION:Dash into GermanFest at the 5K Walk/Run \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrate community\, health and heritage at the GermanFest 5K on a beautiful route along the mighty Mississippi! The GermanFest 5K Walk/Run will take place on Saturday\, September 20 starting at 8:30 a.m.\, immediately following the FREE Kids Fun Run with Inflatables\, where kids 8 and under can dash\, bounce\, and race through the park with playful inflatables along the course. \n\n\n\nThis year’s 5K starts at the Guttenberg Veteran’s Memorial\, guiding participants along a scenic course filled with river views. Runners and walkers will head down River Park Drive for two blocks before turning to pass Lock and Dam No. 10\, then follow the picturesque River Walk for the remainder of the route. \n\n\n\nNew this year: \n\n\n\n\nRace begins at the Guttenberg Veteran’s Memorial – with registration in the gazebo.\n\n\n\nProfessionally timed by B&W Racing Services.\n\n\n\nAwards for each of eight age divisions – wear your medal proudly at GermanFest!\n\n\n\n\nRegistration Details: \n\n\n\n\nPreregistration Fee: $25 http://getmeregistered.com/Germanfest5K or printable form\n\n\n\nDay-of Registration Fee: $30\n\n\n\nRegistration includes race entry\, cooling towel\, and GMHC swag bag.\n\n\n\nProceeds benefit the GMHC Cares! fund\, supporting and sustaining patient care\, facilities and technology.\n\n\n\n\nMake a Day of It at GermanFestGather your friends\, bring the family\, and make the GermanFest 5K part of your weekend celebration.
