Patients and Visitors

At GMH, we specialize in personalized care.  We encourage visitors and will work with you and your family to make sure your stay with us is as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Patient & Visitor Guide
A Patient and Visitor Guide is available to assist you with your stay or visit. Patients automatically receive the Guide upon admission, but visitors find them useful as well. Ask a nurse or at the front desk for your own copy.

Visiting Hours
Visiting hours are open, but visitors are encouraged to check with the nurse for any restrictions. No more than two visitors should visit at a time and we encourage short visits.  Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments.

Infection Control
People with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.

Patients placed in Isolation Rooms may have visitors, but all visitors must comply with the hospital's Infection Control policies and procedures. Isolation rooms will have signs posted at the room entrance. Visitors, please ask a nurse to help you before you enter an isolation room for the first time.  Once you have been educated, you may enter and exit at will as long as you follow the appropriate protocol taught to you by the nursing staff.

Patient Registration

Patients must register and sign applicable consents for each visit to the hospital.  Pre-registration prior to hospital services is recommended.  Please call our Business Office between 8 AM and 4 PM, Monday-Friday. A Patient Account Specialist will collect your demographic and insurance information, and present you with various payment options.  Physician orders and Insurance coverage can be verified in advance.  Please bring your current insurance cards and a photo ID with you when you come in for service.   Insurance deductibles, co-insurance amounts, co-pays and non-covered services may be paid before or at the time of your hospital visit.
